With 315 games taking place over the course of five days, the U.S. Soccer Girls’ Development Academy Winter Showcase offered first class opportunities for talent identification.  Each game was scouted and evaluated by a U.S. Soccer Technical Advisor or Scout, while the U.S. Federation’s entire Youth National Team Staff was on site for talent identification opportunities to evaluate current YNT pool players as well as potential players for future camps.   **Houston Dash U15** vs. Boston Breakers Academy  **Won 2-1**(Scorers – Sydnie Thibodaux, Angie Diep) vs. PA Classics **Won 3-1** (Scorers – Haley McWhirter, Danielle Shannon, Sydney O’Shea) vs. San Jose Earthquakes **Lost 1-2**(Scorers – Cadyn Hulse)   **Houston Dash U16/U17** vs. FC United Soccer Club **Lost 1-3** (Scorer – Sydney Babineaux) vs. SC del Sol **Tied 2-2**(Scorers – Krista Peterson, Sydney Babineaux vs. PSV Union Football Club **Won 3-1** (Scorers – Krista Peterson 2, Sydney Babineaux)   **Houston Dash U18/U19** vs. Placer United SC **Tied 2-2** (Scorers – Sarah Piper, Alma Audu) vs. Cincinnati Development Academy **Won 2-1**(Scorer – Jazzy Richards 2) vs. LA Galaxy San Diego **Won 1-0** (Scorer – Sarah Hernandez) Since the start of the inaugural Girls’ Development Academy season in September 2017, 70% of the players that have been called into the Women’s Youth National Team camps are rostered full-time in the Girls’ Academy Clubs. Another benefit of the event was the integration of the Winter Showcase and the Nike Friendlies.  The event marked the first time the Women’s Nike International Friendlies took place in conjunction with the Girls’ Development Academy Winter Showcase.  The Women’s Nike International Friendlies was a round-robin tournament which featured the U.S. U20 WNT and the U20 WNT’s of Brazil, England and Finland.  The combined events highlighted the cohesion between the Development Academy Member Clubs, Youth National Teams and over 300 academic institutions.   *“My teammates and I had a great time representing the Houston Dash in Florida at the first ever DA Winter Showcase. It was an amazing experience where I got to showcase my abilities in front of hundreds of college coaches and play against some of the top teams in the nation.”* **Krista Peterson – Houston Dash U17 DA.** *“What a fantastic DA showcase event!  Great performances by our teams, hundreds of college coaches and US National team scouts at every game. The Florida venue was incredible while the day off helped our players perform well in their third game and spend some quality bonding time in the Tampa Bay area.”* **Nick O’Shea – Houston Dash DA Director.** #### [Colleges Attending Dash Games A - K](http://dynamodashyouth.com/news/#1513048399982-39ffc0b6-35b2)   Abilene Christian University Air Force Academy Air Force Academy Akron University Appalachian State Army Army Westpoint Auburn University Baylor University Binghamton University Bowling Green Brooklyn College Brown University Bryant University Carnegie Mellon Central Arkansas Central Michigan University Central Michigan Charleston College Clemson University College of Charleston College of Charleston Colorado School of Mines Colorado State Colorado State Colorado State Cornell University Cornell University Creighton University Dartmouth Dartmouth College DePaul University Duke University Earlham College Emory University Florida Gulf Coast University Florida Gulf Coast University Florida State University George Mason University George Washington University Global FCE Gonzaga University Grand Canyon University Grand Valley State University Harvard High Point University Houston Baptist University Illinois State University Indiana University Jacksonville University Kansas State University #### [Colleges Attending Dash Games L - Z](http://dynamodashyouth.com/news/#1513048888325-96665340-a7f4)   La Salle University Lafayette University Lehigh University Liberty University Lipscomb University LIU Brooklyn Louisiana State University Louisville Loyola Marymount of Maryland University of Massachusetts University of Miami University of Missouri University of Missouri University of Nebraska University of New Mexico University of North Carolina University of North Carolina Asheville University of Northern Iowa University of Notre Dame University of Oklahoma University of Rochester University of San Francisco University of South Carolina University of Southern California University of St. Louis University of Tennessee University of Texas – Austin University of Texas El Paso University of Texas San Antonio University of Utah University of Vermont University of Virginia University of Washington University of Washington St Louis University of Wisconsin University of Wyoming UT Tyler Utah State UW-Milwaukee Washington State University Washington University – St. Louis Washington University Wesleyan University West Virginia University Western Carolina University Yale University   ### Subscribe to Email Updates ### Recent Posts ### Posts by Topic - [Partnerships (97)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/partnerships) - [College (73)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/college) - [Tournament (60)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/tournament) - [Development Academy (17)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/development-academy) - [Human Resources (16)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/human-resources) - [Camps (15)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/camps) - [Membership (15)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/membership) - [Recreational (15)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/recreational) - [Ticket Sales (15)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/ticket-sales) - [Girls Academy (13)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/girls-academy) - [National Team (11)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/national-team) - [Professional (11)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/professional) - [Community Outreach (10)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/community-outreach) - [USSDA (10)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/ussda-academy) - [Weekend Results (7)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/weekend-results) - [Competitive (6)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/competitive) - [Disability Program (6)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/disability-program) - [Golf (6)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/golf) - [West (5)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/west) - [Academy Sports + Outdoors (4)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/academy-sports-outdoors) - [US National Team (4)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/us-national-team) - [Boys Academy (2)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/boys-academy) - [Coaching Education (2)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/coaching-education) - [ECNL BOYS (2)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/ecnl-boys) - [Montgomery (2)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/montgomery) - [Scholarship (2)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/scholarship) - [Beaumont (1)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/beaumont) - [Development Player League (1)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/development-player-league) - [Events (1)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/events) - [Futsal (1)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/futsal) - [Kingwood (1)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/kingwood) - [Player Health (1)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/player-health) - [The Woodlands (1)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/topic/the-woodlands) see all ## Registration Sign up and pay for leagues, camps and tournaments.
