Girls Academy Success at GA Playoffs 2026

HTX Girls Academy Teams Compete on National Stage at Girls Academy Playoffs in California
NORCO, Calif. (June 18-23, 2026) – HTX Soccer’s Girls Academy program once again showcased its strength and depth on the national stage with five Girls Academy age groups (U13-U17), competing in Southern California at the prestigious Girls Academy National Playoffs at the SilverLakes Sports Complex in Norco, California.
Advancing Teams:
A huge congratulations to the 13GA team for their 1–0 victory over Lamorinda FC, and to the 12GA team for defeating Rhode Island Surf 2-0 in the quarterfinals. Both teams have earned their place in the GA Finals which will be held at River City Sportsplex in Midlothian, Virginia, from July 9–12. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, determination, and success. Best of luck as they continue their national championship journey!

The event brought together the top Girls Academy teams from across the United States for six days of elite competition. For HTX Soccer, having representation in five age groups was a significant accomplishment and reflected the continued growth and success of the club’s girls pathway.
"Having five teams qualify for the Girls Academy Playoffs is a fantastic achievement for our girls program and a testament to the hard work that has gone in throughout the entire season," said Andrew Squire, Girls Director." I would like to congratulate the teams, coaching staff, and parents for their commitment this entire year. Having 4 teams advance to the R16 of and two teams go one step further and qualify for the GA Finals next month is incredible. We are excited to go compete for our first GA National Championship"
“It was a tremendous event, showcasing national-level competition,” said Randy Evans, Technical Director. “The Girls Academy League did an outstanding job hosting, and having five of our qualifying teams participate made for a fantastic way to close out the 2025–26 season on a high note. A huge thank you goes to our players, who showed great resilience, the parents for their support and the coaching staff for their hard work and unwavering commitment to developing our elite player pathway.”

HTX Soccer is the largest youth soccer club in the Greater Houston area, with over 8,500 players ranging from recreational to elite levels, ages 3 to 19. Serving a 100-mile radius from Downtown Houston, HTX represents the true heart of soccer in the city and its surrounding communities.
