For Immediate Release.

November 18, 2024.

The Boys ECNL traveled with three age groups to compete in Phoenix, AZ at the ECNL National Event (November 15-17) and came away with some outstanding results and performances (5W-1L-3T).  Two first class complexes were used for the three day event that also hosted an ECNL National Selection game that Cesar Garcia (06/07B ECNL) played 70 minutes on the winning team.  The group also got to watch the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) championship game with San Jose State University vs. Seattle University along with taking a tour of Grand Canyon University (NCAA Division I) to check out the campus and facilities.

Four coaching staff members were also present to support the three teams: Dave Dengerink (Boys Director), Alex Cardenas (Academy Director), Miguel Becerra (Head Coach), Roger Bonilla (Head Coach).

"Another great experience for the boys to play teams outside of our regular conference and be tested and seen on the national stage" said Alex Cardenas, Academy Director.  "There was a good amount of college coaching staff inquiring about our players and sitting on the sidelines to review the talent.  A very worthwhile event in providing further exposure for our prospective student-athletes."

"Providing the players quality opposition, the opportunity to play in front of college coaching staff on superb facilities was the goal for this weekend and we accomplished it," said Roger Bonilla, Head Coach | Boys College Strategist. "We look forward in continuing to work with all the players in completing their college search."
