THE WOODLANDS, TX —The Girls Academy traveled to compete in the GA Champions Cup Finals at IMG, March 7-12, 2024. The teams played quality opponents from across the country within the U13 - U19 age groups, with hundreds of college coaches and national team scouts present on the sidelines watching the event.
"The Champions Cup Finals never disappoint. The event always provides a level of competition that demands the best from our players," said Dave Dengerink, HTX Academy Director. "This year was no different. We had some outstanding results and, while a few disappointing ones, the elite competition truly helps players and coaches learn to impact the game in critical moments. The event provided another terrific opportunity for growth and development in front of National Team Scouts and a tremendous number of college coaches."
"I can’t speak highly enough of the Girls Academy Champions Cup," said Marcus Watt, Girls Academy Head Coach. "The quality of opponents, facilities and organization of the competition combined with the plethora of college coaches and USYNT scouts in attendance made it a great environment for the players."
