HTX Members and Friends,
As 2025 comes to a close, we want to thank you for sharing another great year with us. It is a joy every season to watch our young players grow both on and off the field developing not only as athletes, but as people in ways that will stay with them for years to come. That growth is why we take such pride in what we strive to bring to you and your family as we continue building the #1 youth soccer club in Houston. 2025 was another outstanding year across the entire club, and as we reflect on the past 12 months, we’re excited to share some of the incredible accomplishments that made it so special.
College Program
HTX Soccer continues to lead the Houston area in preparing our players for collegiate soccer, with 98 players committing to college programs in 2025. We also held multiple College Center presentations across the city, helping inform players and their families about the support the club provides during the recruiting process. The club would like to thank our College Center partners in Northwest Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and SportsRecruits.
Team Success
Following last year’s first-ever national championship for a Houston club, the club made history once again by repeating as U13 USYS National Champions. The 13 Pre-GA squad became the first club to win back-to-back USYS championships, recording clean sheets in all four matches against elite national competition on their way to lifting the trophy.
The success continued in the spring as the 07 GA team captured the U19 Girls Academy Champions Cup, defeating the top GA teams in the country. The 10 GA team also reached the national final, while the 12 GA finished an impressive 4th place in their age group.
Across league play for both boys and girls, 28 competitive teams advanced to their respective playoffs, 10 more than in 2024, highlighting the depth, consistency, and continued growth of the club.
Player Success
At the individual level, many players continued to earn recognition on some of the game’s biggest stages. Multiple athletes received training invitations with professional clubs, including Rhea Steil, who trained with the Houston Dash, NWSL.
In addition, more than 10 players participated in national team activities throughout the year, ranging from Talent I.D. Camps to competitive international tournament play representing countries such as the United States, Jordan, Belize, and Jamaica, among others.
Recreational Program
Of all the opportunities we provide, none reaches more of Houston’s youth than our Recreational Program. In 2025, we created a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for nearly 6,000 players of all ages across ten locations throughout the city. The program is sponsored by TDECU our valued partner.
As part of our commitment to making soccer accessible to players of every ability level, we also continued to expand our Adaptive Program. As one of the only soccer programs in Houston that welcomes players with any intellectual or developmental disability, we are proud to continue growing this initiative.
Community
Our 14th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign raised $33,000 and donations were made to the Memorial Hermann Foundation’s In The Pink of Health and Theresa’s Research, not only giving back to the community but also teaching our players about the importance of service. We also launched HTX Charities, which we are excited will give us a great platform for the future in key areas of giving for our club.
We also announced our involvement in Houston’s Art of Soccer campaign. As excitement builds for next year’s World Cup, we became the only youth soccer club in the city to join this initiative that will help expand access to soccer programs for underserved youth across the city.
Club Expansion
As our club’s membership continues to grow, we have remained focused on expanding into new areas to better serve families across the Houston community. In October, HTX became the primary provider of youth soccer programming at The Ballpark at League City, where we now offer both indoor and outdoor training, leagues, and seasonal camps.
This fall, we also partnered with Eagle Landing Park in Fulshear, further expanding our network of thoughtfully designed fields and programming while providing valuable recreational green space for the local community.
A lot happened in 2025, and we’re excited for even more in the year ahead. With the FIFA World Cup coming to the United States and Houston set to host matches, 2026 represents a landmark moment for the sport in our city. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the fields next year as we continue growing the game together during an unforgettable time for soccer in Houston.
