The HTX Soccer Recreational Program began its spring season this past weekend across multiple communities across Greater Houston, brought to you by AutoNation.

HTX Soccer is proud to offer a full developmental journey for every player in the club: from recreational through our nationally competitive elite teams, all the way to collegiate and professional opportunities. The club believes in providing every child a way to experience the game of soccer, regardless of ability or experience.

“We’d like to sincerely thank the parents and spectators for creating a wonderful atmosphere at our facilities during this Spring season. Additionally, we extend our gratitude to over 600 volunteer coaches, who are the heartbeat of our program, and the reason so many players fall in love with the game. We look forward to what promises to be another tremendous spring season." Phil Ebner, Grassroots Director.

This season, over 3,300 players on 450 teams will participate in weekly activities to develop their soccer skills and love of the game. More than 15,000 weekly spectators will attend over 1,800 games played at our facilities in Clear Lake, Friendswood, Fulshear, Humble, Kingwood, League City, Sienna, Tomball, The Woodlands & Woodforest.

"We are delighted to kick off the Spring '24 season in Sienna. I’d like to thank the staff for all their efforts during registration, team formation, scheduling and field preparations," said Andrew Squire, Sienna Director. "A big shout out to the volunteer coaches for dedicating their time to our 38 Sienna recreational teams. Saturday was on the chilly side, but that didn’t stop the players and parents bringing plenty of energy."

"The opening game day of recreational and youth academy games was a huge success. It was great to welcome our grassroots players back onto the field with smiles as we look forward to the season ahead, said Chris Kidd, Tomball Recreational / Youth Academy Director. "Thank you to all of the players and spectators who braved the cooler temperatures to make the opening game day a memorable one."

"On behalf of the club, I would like to thank AutoNation for their continued support of our largest program," said Simon Boddison, Director of Soccer Operations. "They fully understand the important role and the positive impact that youth sports play in our local communities. The resources and tools that AutoNation helps to provide allows our Recreational Program to continue to expand and serve our membership."
