The club hosted the 5th Annual South Texas Spring Showdown, May 3-4 at Gosling and Bear Branch sports complexes in The Woodlands, Texas. Over 90 Recreational and Youth Academy teams across south Texas competed over a fun two-day event to provide an exciting wrap-up to their spring season of competition. A minimum of three games were played with prizes for all finalists and champions. Games from the Boys ECNL and Houston City Cup were also staged at both sites.
"I would like to thank all the teams, referees, volunteers, parents, and coaching staff for participating in the 5th Annual South Texas Spring Showdown," said Stuart Taylor, Tournament Director. "The tournament was a tremendous success and a perfect setting for Recreational and Youth Academy teams to end their season in a fun and exciting competition. We look forward to hosting and expanding this event in 2026."

ABOUT HTX SOCCER
HTX Soccer is the largest youth soccer club in the Greater Houston area with more than 8,500 players at every skill level from recreational to elite from the ages of 3-19. The club truly represents the sport in Houston, with teams serving a 100-mile radius from Downtown Houston. Since 2017, it has developed over 475 players who have gone on to play collegiately, more than any other club in the area, and 66 players have been selected to attend their respective youth national teams activities.
