This past Saturday marked an exciting start to the Fall 2025 Recreational Program, proudly partnered with TDECU, as more than 3,500 players took to the fields for opening weekend!
Spanning 10 campuses across the Greater Houston area, the Recreational Program welcomed players and families for a weekend full of energy, teamwork, and passion for the game. With 425 teams competing and over 1,800 matches scheduled this season being coached by 350 volunteer coaches, the fields were alive with excitement and community spirit.
Each week, more than 12,000 spectators will cheer from the sidelines at our recreational sites in Clear Lake, Friendswood, Fulshear, Humble, Kingwood, League City, Sienna, Tomball, The Woodlands and Woodforest.
This season promises to be one to remember as players of all skill levels continue to develop their soccer abilities and love for the game. Here's to a fun, safe, and unforgettable fall season!
“We’d like to sincerely thank all the spectators for helping create such a positive and supportive atmosphere at our facilities.” said Phil Ebner, Grassroots Director. “A special thank you to our team of staff who have worked tirelessly this summer to setup the season for success. Finally, shout out to our volunteer coaches who are the heartbeat of the program, and whose passion and commitment are the reason so many players fall in love with the game. We’re excited for what promises to be another incredible season.”
“We’re thrilled to kick off the Fall 2025 season here in Sienna,” said Sam Buckman, Sienna Director. “A big thank you to our staff for their hard work throughout registration, team formation, scheduling, and field prep. In Kingwood, our relationship with Kingwood Alliance continues to provide a fantastic platform for players and families to enjoy the game," said Jamie Bell, HTX North & East Regional Director. "In Humble, Rodrigo Marron (Humble Director) and David Jackson (East Grassroots Director) have done an outstanding job leading the Recreational program - creating an environment where players, parents, coaches, and volunteers all come together with passion and commitment. Their work ensures that kids not only have fun but also grow both on and off the field.”
“We’re proud to kick off another exciting season of recreational soccer within the club,” said Hector Avila, South Recreational Director. “Opening day was a tremendous success, the fields were full of energy, and it was inspiring to see so many young players enjoying the game. Our recreational program continues to grow across our communities, and we’re committed to providing a fun, safe, and developmental environment for every player.”
