HTX Soccer Appoints Andrea Casella as Girls College Strategist

Houston, TX – [June 15, 2025] — HTX Soccer is proud to announce the appointment of Andrea Casella as the new Girls College Strategist, further strengthening the club’s commitment to player development and college placement. In his new role, Coach Casella will be an integral part of the club’s College Center educational team, providing expert guidance and support to female athletes navigating the college recruiting process.

Coach Casella brings a strong background in youth development and college advising, and will work closely with players and families to ensure they are educated, prepared, and strategically positioned to pursue collegiate soccer opportunities. He will also collaborate directly with club coaches to ensure a unified and personalized recruiting approach for the players.

Andrea will be fully aligned with SportsRecruits, the club’s dedicated online recruiting platform, ensuring every female athlete in the U13–U19 age groups has access to top-tier tools, resources, and support throughout their college journey.

HTX Soccer continues to lead the way in college placement, with over 485 players committed to college programs since 2017, and a record number of players from the 2026 graduating class already placed. With the addition of Coach Casella, the Girls College Pathway is positioned for even greater success in the seasons ahead.

ABOUT HTX | HTX Soccer is the largest youth soccer club in the Greater Houston area with more than 8,500 players at every skill level from recreational to elite from the ages of 3-19. The club truly represents the sport in Houston, with teams serving a 100-mile radius from Downtown Houston. Since 2017, it has developed over 485 players who have gone on to play collegiately, more than any other club in the area, and 66 players have been selected to attend their respective youth national teams activities. HTX Soccer’s elite boys’ teams are part of the ECNL, the most competitive youth soccer league in America, and its elite girls teams compete in the Girls Academy (G.A.) League against the top teams and clubs throughout the country.
