HTX Soccer Announces Coach Deusdedit Caguana as Elite Girls Goalkeeping Director for 2025/26

HTX Soccer is thrilled to announce that Coach Deusdedit Caguana, widely known as 'Coach D' has been appointed as the Elite Girls Goalkeeping Director for the 2025/26 season.

Coach D will begin working with the Elite Girls training program this week and will also be on the sidelines for the GA National Playoffs in Norco, CA later this month.

A valued member of our club since 2019, Coach D has led goalkeeping programs at both our West and Central locations. He is also the founder of ONLY Goalkeeper, Houston’s largest specialized goalkeeper training program.

Originally from Venezuela, Coach D brings over 15 years of professional playing experience, having competed for top clubs including Carabobo FC, Llaneros de Guanare FC, and Caracas FC. As a coach, he holds a CONMEBOL “B” License and the United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeper Diploma, showcasing his dedication to developing elite-level talent.

“I am excited to take on the role of Goalkeeper Director for the Elite Girls with HTX Soccer Club.  I am committed to contributing my experience and knowledge to maintain and elevate the excellence of this outstanding program, said Coach Deusdedit Caguana | GK Director Elite Girls. "This position will allow me to work with young goalkeepers under the highest standards of excellence.  My goal is to share the knowledge I have gained as both a player and a coach at different levels, while applying the most innovative training methods to help these young athletes reach their fullest potential, both on and off the field.”

ABOUT HTX | HTX Soccer is the largest youth soccer club in the Greater Houston area with more than 8,500 players at every skill level from recreational to elite from the ages of 3-19. The club truly represents the sport in Houston, with teams serving a 100-mile radius from Downtown Houston. Since 2017, it has developed over 485 players who have gone on to play collegiately, more than any other club in the area, and 66 players have been selected to attend their respective youth national teams activities. HTX Soccer’s elite boys’ teams are part of the ECNL, the most competitive youth soccer league in America, and its elite girls teams compete in the Girls Academy (G.A.) League against the top teams and clubs throughout the country. The club is proud to be the home of the 2024 USYS Girls U13 National Champions, the 2025 U19 Girls Academy Champions Cup National Champions and the 2025 U16 Girls Academy Champions Cup National Finalist.
