HTX Soccer hosted the [Girls Academy Inspire](https://girlsacademyleague.com/what-is-inspire/) South Regional, an event for some of the best U11–U12 girls in the region, on October 10–11, 2026, at [Gosling Sports Fields](https://www.thewoodlandsparks.com/Parks/Community-Parks/Parks-Directory/Research-Forest-Parks/Gosling-Sports-Fields) in The Woodlands, Texas. Top elite teams traveled from across Texas to compete on first-class facilities in perfect weather. A big thank you goes to the referees, staff, volunteers, and athletic trainers who worked tirelessly throughout the weekend. HTX Soccer were invited to host this event by the Girls Academy and graciously accepted allowing our members to play a regional event close to home.

Weekend Results:

A special thank you goes to [The Woodlands Township](https://www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/Home) for providing the fields and support staff that made the event possible, and to [AutoNation](https://www.autonation.com) for providing our sideline game day equipment. Bringing teams and families from across Texas to the area also brought new economic impact to The Woodlands Township.

Leadership Reflections......

“Hosting the Girls Academy Inspire South Regional was a positive opportunity for our club, and we wanted to deliver a first-class weekend on outstanding facilities,” said Andy Squire, Girls Director. “I want to thank our parents, the visiting teams and coaches, and everybody involved who helped make this weekend so special for these young players. We look forward to continuing to support the Girls Academy and hosting future events wherever possible.”

"It was such a privilege to host the inaugural Girls Academy - Southern Regional Event this past weekend," said Michael Openshaw, City Program | Inspire Director. "Credit to all clubs’ families, players and coaches for contributing to a superb environment. A special shout out to the internal HTX staff for all their hard work in preparing and delivering an excellent event setting."

### About HTX Soccer

HTX Soccer is the largest youth soccer club in the Greater Houston area, serving more than 8,500 players ages 3 to 19 across a 100-mile radius from Downtown Houston. From recreational play to elite competition, HTX represents the true heart of soccer in the city and its surrounding communities.

Since 2006, HTX has helped more than 830 players advance to collegiate soccer, more than any other club in the region - while 67 players have been selected for youth national team activities and 18 have gone on to play professionally around the world.

The club's elite boys' teams compete in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), and its elite girls' teams play in the Girls Academy (G.A.) League, both top-tier platforms in U.S. youth soccer.

Recent National Championship Highlights:

🏆🏆🏆 2026-2025-2024 USYS U13 Girls National Champions
🏆 2026 Boys ECNL-RL National Finalists
🏆 2026 Girls Academy National Finalists
🏆 2026 U13 Girls Academy Champions Cup Finalists
🏆 2025 U15 Girls Academy Champions Cup National Finalists
🏆 2025 U19 Girls Academy Champions Cup National Champions

HTX continues to set the standard for youth soccer development and competition locally, regionally, and nationally.
