MONTERREY Club de Fútbol Monterrey Rayados, often known simply as their nickname Rayados, is a Mexican professional football club based in Monterrey, Mexico which currently plays in Liga MX, the top tier of Mexican football. Founded on 28 June 1945, it is the oldest active professional team from the northern part of Mexico. Since 1999 the club has been owned by FEMSA, Latin America's largest bottling company. Its home games have been played in the Estadio BBVA (capacity 53,500) since 2015, one of the venues for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.  Monterrey has won five league titles, three domestic cups, and five CONCACAF Champions League titles (notably, three consecutive tournaments in 2011, 2012 and 2013).  In 2020 Monterrey became the second Mexican club to complete the continental treble. The club consistently ranks as the highest in LigaMX attendance and currently features one of the most expensive squads in the country, including national team players from Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, and Spain.  The youth academy is considered one of the top academies in Mexico and are the current LigaMX national champions in the Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18 age divisions; historic achievement for a Liga MX club. Also, the academy has a system of 160 soccer schools in Mexico and in the US, with over 12,000 players registered and will host 6 international Copa Rayados USA events in 2024. \### ![HTX\_EMAIL\_SIGNATURE\_handles3](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/hs-fs/hubfs/HTX_EMAIL_SIGNATURE_handles3.png?width=652&height=163&name=HTX_EMAIL_SIGNATURE_handles3.png) [Partnerships](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/partnerships), [Professional](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/professional), [Boys Academy](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/boys-academy) ### Subscribe for Email Updates ### Recent Posts ### Posts by Tag - [Partnerships (174)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/partnerships) - [Tournament (105)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/tournament) - [College (94)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/college) - [Girls Academy (38)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/girls-academy) - [Recreational (34)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/recreational) - [Competitive (25)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/competitive) - [Elite Girls (25)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/elite-girls) - [Human Resources (24)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/human-resources) - [Boys Academy (23)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/boys-academy) - [Professional (23)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/professional) - [Membership (18)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/membership) - [Camps (17)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/camps) - [Development Academy (17)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/development-academy) - [Elite Boys (16)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/elite-boys) - [Community Outreach (15)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/community-outreach) - [Ticket Sales (15)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/ticket-sales) - [National Team (14)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/national-team) - [ECNL BOYS (10)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/ecnl-boys) - [Playoff (10)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/playoff) - [USSDA (10)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/ussda) - [Adaptive Program (8)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/adaptive-program) - [Disability Program (7)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/disability-program) - [Weekend Results (7)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/weekend-results) - [Golf (6)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/golf) - [West (6)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/west) - [The Woodlands (5)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/the-woodlands) - [US National Team (5)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/us-national-team) - [Academy Sports + Outdoors (4)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/academy-sports-outdoors) - [Player Health (4)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/player-health) - [Coaching Education (3)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/coaching-education) - [Scholarship (3)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/scholarship) - [Adaptive & Special Needs (2)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/adaptive-special-needs) - [Alumni (2)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/alumni) - [Events (2)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/events) - [Futsal (2)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/futsal) - [Montgomery (2)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/montgomery) - [Woodforest (2)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/woodforest) - [About (1)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/about) - [Beaumont (1)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/beaumont) - [Development Player League (1)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/development-player-league) - [International Competition (1)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/international-competition) - [Kingwood (1)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/kingwood) - [News (1)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/news) - [Tryouts (1)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/tryouts) - [World Cup 2026 (1)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/world-cup-2026) - [Youth Academy (1)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/tag/youth-academy) See all ## Read On [![](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/College%20Fit%20Finder-May-12-2023-08-51-09-5128-PM.png?width=352&name=College%20Fit%20Finder-May-12-2023-08-51-09-5128-PM.png)](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/club-college-commitment-june-2019) ### [Club College Commitment - June 2019](https://blog.htxsoccer.com/htx/club-college-commitment-june-2019) **Houston, Texas** (June 28, 2019) – **The Houston Dynamo | Dash Youth Soccer Club (HDDY)** , a...
