🏆 **HOUSTON PRE-LABOR DAY CUP 2026** 🏆

**Houston Pre-Labor Day Cup Welcomes Over 250 Teams in 7th Annual Event**

September 1, 2026

**HOUSTON, TX** – The club’s 7th annual [Houston Pre-Labor Day Cup](https://htxsoccer.com/tournaments/pre-labor-day-cup/), presented by title sponsor [Capri Sun](https://www.capri-sun.com/en/)wrapped up this weekend with a record-breaking turnout. Over 250+ teams participated in the event, the second of two pre-season tournaments hosted by the club in August, drawing thousands of players, coaches, and fans to five premier venues on Houston’s south side: Centennial Park, Dad’s Club, El Franco Lee Park, Sylvan Rodriguez Park and League City Sportsplex.

Teams ranged in age from U8 to U18, across both boys and girls divisions, and competed in a variety of formats: 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11. Each team was guaranteed a minimum of three matches, with many progressing to thrilling Sunday finals.

"I would like to thank and recognize our marquee sponsor Capri Sun for all their support and on-site presence,” said Jason DeVore, Tournament Director. “Having cold, fun refreshments for our members and visiting teams added a unique, energetic experience to this year’s tournament.”

With more than 7,500 attendees throughout the weekend, the Houston Pre-Labor Day Cup once again proved why it’s a key fixture in the region’s youth soccer calendar. Competitive matches, high-level play, and a strong community atmosphere underscored the importance of quality pre-season events for player and team development. "It’s a collective effort, from the teams and coaches to the sponsors, vendors, managers, volunteers, and referees that makes this event such a fantastic way for teams to kick off their fall season,” DeVore added.

The club would like to also thank [Team Travel Source](https://www.teamtravelsource.com) for facilitating the hotel accommodations for the visiting teams, [GO4](https://www.go4.io) athletic training support along with [Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Urgent Care](https://www.gohealthuc.com/memorialhermann) and [Fine Designs](https://finedesigns.com/) for their on-site apparel production.

As the league season approaches, the success of the Pre-Labor Day Cup sets the tone for what promises to be an exciting fall for Houston's #1 youth soccer club.

### About HTX Soccer

HTX Soccer is the largest youth soccer club in the Greater Houston area, with over 8,500 players ranging from recreational to elite levels, ages 3 to 19. Serving a 100-mile radius from Downtown Houston, HTX represents the true heart of soccer in the city and its surrounding communities. Since 2006, HTX has helped more than 820 players advance to collegiate soccer, more than any other club in the region. The club has also seen 67 players selected for youth national team activities, and 18 players go on to play professionally around the world.

HTX’s elite boys’ teams compete in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), while the elite girls’ teams participate in the Girls Academy (G.A.) League, both top-tier platforms in U.S. youth soccer.

HTX Soccer is proud to be home to:
