HTX ECNL RL Compete at Regional League Finals 2025

Houston, TX – July 13, 2025
HTX Soccer continue to make history this summer, advancing three boys' teams to the prestigious ECNL Regional League Finals held in Richmond, Virginia, July 11–14.  After strong performances and qualification through the South Playoffs in Fort Worth, TX, June 13–17, HTX demonstrated the club’s exceptional depth and competitive excellence across the ECNL-RL national platform.

All three of the following teams proudly represented HTX Soccer starting at the final eight stage of the competition with the ECNL RL 12B South advancing to the semi-final stage after their impressive quarter-final win 2-0 vs. Legends FC.

“Having three teams reach the regional finals is an outstanding achievement and a tremendous reflection of the strength within our program,” said Dave Dengerink, Boys Director. “Our players and coaching staff have worked tirelessly all year, and that commitment truly showed in their recent performances on the national stage. I’m extremely proud of what we've accomplished and excited to see how we can use this to build upon for the fall season.

“Congratulations to the ECNL RL 10B South team on their strong performance at the Regional Finals. The boys showed great character and resilience throughout the event while competing against top-class national-level opposition. I’m proud of the way they represented HTX Soccer,” said Coach Clodo Cervantes, ECNL RL 10B South Head Coach. “Thank you to all the players and families for their season-long commitment and support.”

The boys demonstrated great teamwork and professionalism throughout the event while competing against some of the best teams from across the country.” said Coach Jorge Escobar, ECNL RL 12B South Head Coach. “The facility provided by the ECNL organization was first-class, and I want to thank all the players and families for their season-long commitment and support. It was truly an outstanding season, capped off with high-level postseason competition.”

This latest success is yet another proud moment in HTX Soccer’s ongoing journey of excellence. With multiple teams advancing to the national stage, it’s a clear reflection of the hard work, dedication, and talent across the entire program—from players and coaches to families and staff.

ABOUT HTX SOCCER

HTX Soccer is the largest youth soccer club in the Greater Houston area with more than 8,500 players at every skill level from recreational to elite from the ages of 3-19. The club truly represents the sport in Houston, with teams serving a 100-mile radius from Downtown Houston. Since 2017, it has developed over 485 players who have gone on to play collegiately, more than any other club in the area, and 66 players have been selected to attend their respective youth national teams activities. HTX Soccer’s elite boys’ teams are part of the ECNL, the most competitive youth soccer league in America, and its elite girls teams compete in the Girls Academy (G.A.) League against the top teams and clubs throughout the country. The club is proud to be the home of the 2024 USYS Girls U13 National Champions, the 2025 U19 Girls Academy Champions Cup National Champions and the 2025 U16 Girls Academy Champions Cup National Finalist.
